NEW HKS GT-III Turbine is a new generation of turbo combining high efficiency MHI CHRA with HKS original housings. HKS has conducted intensive analysis of the standard engine and turbocharger, It was found that a high efficiency turbo upgrade extracts the potential performance of the K14C engine even at light tuning levels.

The compressor wheel diameter for this GT-III FX turbocharger is enlarged by 4.0mm and the turbine wheel is enlarged by 3.0mm to increase the maximum flow rate by 40%, therefore the engine output may reach 200ps depending on the tuning level.

Recent requirements towards fuel efficiency and emissions has accelerated the development of turbo technology and this has now been adapted for tuning. New analysis and production methods allow for new billet impellor designs which generate high boost levels at low speeds.

Internal flow losses in the exhaust scroll have been reduced for improved efficiency, matched with improved compressor diffuser design to increase the margin for surging. Previously this was not possible with cast designs. Housings are machined by HKS for high reliability and durability.
